Thursday looks good to me

Aah, the good old Thekla in Bristol, a musical stalwart for a good few years now. From the grubby Candy Club days where shy teenage indie kids shuffled round in a shoegazing fug to, er, now, when not-so-shy teenage indie kids shuffle round in a shoegazing fug - so not much has changed apart from the decor ;)

Actually, that's not quite true. There is not much to bemoan about it these days since Heavenly did a major refit last autumn. There are no dripping pools of sweat falling into your pint anymore, the upstairs bar is lovely and the live space in the hull of the boat makes a lot more sense than it used to now it's been opened up. The sound is still a bit hit and miss though which seems to be it's only weak spot.

We've just confirmed a support slot there next Thursday 10th May, supporting US band Saturday Looks Good To Me. It's the first time Santa Dog have played the Thekla so should be fun. We'll be on early doors. There may possibly be some sneaky copies of the single too......
